Salt Brings Something New to Rosslyn

Salt, the newly opened speakeasy, lounge, and New American bistro on Wilson Boulevard, promises to bring something new to the Rosslyn neighborhood. A basement bar with a chic, old-school atmosphere and a forward-looking cocktail menu, this place has already become a hot spot for locals looking for something beyond sports bars and nightclubs. Salt’s location right by the Metro and its excellent happy hour specials ($3 seasonal cocktails, $2 wines, $1 drafts) make it an attractive spot for post-work drinks.

But Salt is much more than its bar offerings–the kitchen has quite a few tricks up its sleeve. Yelpers rave about the housemade burrata appetizer, as well as the beef carpaccio. Standout entrees include the cowboy ribeye and sesame tuna, both served with a side of truffle fries. Keep in mind that this place is popular and Salt doesn’t accept reservations, so if you visit at peak meal times, you may encounter a wait for your table.
