Every November and December, the interior common areas of the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center are transformed into a winter wonderland. Even if the weather is unseasonably warm, there will be snow in the forecast here, as the annual ICE! event sees the Gaylord chilled to a brisk 9 degrees Fahrenheit in order to preserve a variety of expertly carved ice sculptures for the holiday season. The theme of this year’s event is inspired by Dr. Seuss’s iconic Grinch and the Hoos of Hooville.
Your ticket (which will run you $25 for a child and $33 for an adult) will grant you access to a self-guided walking tour of the ice sculptures and colorful lights display, a play area featuring four separate multi-story ice slides, and a Cocoa Shoppe with hot chocolate and other tasty treats. Weekend packages combining ICE with other hotel, spa, and vacation services are also available.
