There’s pizza, then there’s Pupatella’s. This restaurant serves authentic Italian-style specialties, from their signature wood-fired pizzas to plenty of appetizers and desserts.
Start with the friturra sampler for a variety of Pupatella’s best starters, including sausage arancino, mozzarella balls, and panzarotto. From then, it’s on to the pizza. Choose from a simple margarita pie, or ones loaded with toppings like meatballs, mushrooms and brie, or chorizo. No matter how you top it, Pupatella’s pies feature San Marzano tomato sauce and a thin, charred crust from their wood-fired oven. Plus, Pupatella is well stocked with house-made limoncello, craft beers, and a full wine list. Finish off your meal (if you have room) with a Nutella and green apple pizza, or a cup of their smooth gelato. Pupatella can get quite busy during the dinner rush, and only seats about 40 people, but a bit of a wait is well worth it for this beloved Italian fare.
Find Pupatella in Bluemont on Wilson Boulevard, right next to the 7 Eleven.
