Whether you’re a fan of being out on the water, a yogi or both, The Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga class from Mind Your Body Oasis is your answer to a workout rut. There isn’t much time before autumn air is upon us again, so take advantage of the August dates to appreciate the warm weather and time being out on the water.
Even newcomers to stand up paddleboards can join, as each class includes basic SUP skills, board and paddle control, and SUP strokes. The yoga portion of the class is mainly centered on focusing on the breath and practicing basic yoga poses with the added benefit of balance and calm on the water. Classes are 90 minutes and are run by an ACA Certified Paddle Board instructor. There are sessions available now through August 26, and both a 10:30 a.m. morning session or evening sunset session are available. The location will be sent to all participants the day before the class. A SUP is included in the $50 class fee, or you can bring your own SUP for a $10 discount.
