The first Legal Sea Foods restaurant opened in the 1960s, when the Berkowitz family started frying fish and serving it on paper plates next door to their market in Boston. Hungry locals flocked in for the cheap, tasty meals, and although the Legal Sea Food chain has grown immensely since then, it's still a simple, unpretentious seafood market where you can choose your fish and have it prepared right on the spot.
The Arlington location is situated just minutes from Concord Crystal City, and it offers dozens of varieties of fresh fish and shellfish served broiled or fried any day of the year. Make sure you come hungry, because Legal Sea Foods’ signature dishes —like the crab cake combo that includes jumbo crab cake, shrimp, scallops, clams and a salad — are served in large portions. With its laid-back, welcoming atmosphere, this is a great place to come for lunch or dinner with the whole family.
